Changing Online Giving with CrowdChange
Updates from Lexington
Sigma Nu Fraternity is pleased to announce its new partnership with CrowdChange – an online fundraising platform designed to enhance chapter philanthropic events.
The CrowdChange platform is specifically catered towards fraternity and sorority philanthropy events and is meant to help our individual chapters raise more money while saving them time in the management of the event.
“Over the past couple of years, we’ve seen our chapters come up with creative ways to support the philanthropies of their choice. CrowdChange seemed like a natural partnership since they make it very easy for chapters to set up and manage their fundraising,” said Christopher Brenton, Associate Director of Leadership Development. “As we continue to empower chapters to support the philanthropies of their choosing, it’s important that we have the resources available to help them reach success.”
When asked how CrowdChange makes a difference in fraternity fundraising, Russell Citron, Founder & CEO of CrowdChange had this to say, “CrowdChange gives chapters a platform where they can customize their fundraising pages specifically for their philanthropy events. If they want to sell tickets, they can do that through their page. If they want to track how much money every member has sold, they can do that through their page. If they want to have a team event like a basketball tournament where other teams can register, they can do that through their page. We’re essentially a one-stop shop for chapters, where they can start their fundraisers and customize everything in less than ten minutes. On top of that, we have fundraising features to help them raise more money. In brief, our hope is to make a difference by helping chapters raise more money by making it easier than ever for them to do so.”
Sigma Nu’s new partnership with CrowdChange will bring resources for our chapters to enhance their already outstanding work. Each year, Sigma Nu members across the nation continue to raise the bar for their philanthropic efforts. Since the creation of the Fraternity’s Helping Hand Initiative in 2004, Sigma Nu chapters have raised just under $6 million for philanthropic causes and $1.10 million was raised in just the last year alone.
By providing chapters with services such as donation portals, ticketing features, personal and team fundraising pages, and downloadable guests lists, we’re confident that Sigma Nu will be able to continue its commitment to the Helping Hand Initiative, to draw brothers toward servant leadership, and to continue making a positive impact within local communities.
