Changing Roles
The Fraternity is excited to announce role changes for three current staff members.
Mac McNeilly (Huntingdon)
As of May 1, 2023, Mac has assumed the role of the Fraternity’s Director of Expansion & Recruitment. As Director, Mac will lead the Fraternity’s reestablishment efforts at campuses across the country, including the return to San Jose State University and California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, during the 2023-2024 academic year. In addition to the Fraternity’s expansions, Mac will also oversee the development of recruitment resources and programs to assist chapters in growing memberships committed to the Fraternity’s honorable Mission. Before moving into this new role, Mac served as an Expansion Consultant and project manager for the Fraternity’s expansion efforts at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, and the University of Delaware in Newark, Delaware. Mac first joined the General Fraternity Staff in June 2021 after graduating from Huntingdon College with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. He recently obtained a Master of Business Administration from Saint Francis University.
Ryan Perry (Southern Mississippi)
Starting July 1, 2023, Ryan will move into the Associate Director of Chapter Services role, taking over Hayden Pilcher’s responsibilities. In this position, Ryan will support a portfolio of chapters and will assist Scott Smith (Central Arkansas), Director of Leadership Development, and Austin Lloyd (Arkansas-Fort Smith), Director of Chapter Services, with the development of educational programs and collegiate officer resources. Ryan will continue to serve in his Leadership Consultant role through June. Ryan joined the General Fraternity staff in June 2021 after graduating from the University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in print journalism. For the past two years, Ryan has served as a Leadership Consultant supporting chapters in the West and Pacific Northwest regions of the United States.
Hayden Pilcher (Northwestern State)
As of June 1, 2023, Hayden has become the Director of Advancement for the Sigma Nu Educational Foundation, Inc. As Director of Advancement, Hayden will lead the Foundation’s annual leadership giving programs, including the Black and Gold Society and Omega Society. He will assist Brad Beacham (Texas Christian), President, and Nick Murphy (Kentucky), Chief Financial Officer, in major gift advancement and will work with Director of Engagement, Adam Girtz (North Dakota State), on all annual giving, stewardship, and engagement initiatives. Hayden joined the Fraternity staff in June 2020 after graduating from Northwestern State University with a degree in business administration. For the past year, Hayden served as the Associate Director of Chapter Services. In May 2023, Hayden graduated from Louisiana State University, Shreveport, with a Master of Business Administration.
New Faces
As of June 1, 2023, the Fraternity is excited to announce that two new staff members have joined the team as Consultants for the 2023-2024 academic year.
Chaysen Babcock (Northern Arizona)
Chaysen graduated from Northern Arizona University in May 2023 with a degree in public health. As a member of the Eta Iota Chapter, Chaysen served as Lt. Commander, Social Chairman, and on several committees. In addition to his roles within the collegiate chapter, he led various community service outings for fraternity and community members. His hobbies include sports, exercise, video games, hiking, and cliff jumping. Chaysen is from Anza, California. Following his time on staff, Chaysen plans to enroll in nursing school specializing in anesthesia.
Ricardo Guevara (Central Arkansas)
Ricardo graduated from the University of Central Arkansas in May 2023 with a degree in health sciences with a concentration in health services administration. As a member of the Lambda Phi Chapter, he served as Commander, Social Chairman, and on several committees. On campus, Ricardo served as President of the Latino Student Association, Resident Assistant for UCA Housing and Residence Life, UCA campus Ambassador, and as a senior class representative on the Student Government Association. Ricardo was awarded 2022 Student Organization President of the Year, 2023 Greek Man of the Year, and a UCA CLAWS award. Ricardo grew up in Van Buren, Arkansas, and has a passion for traveling, hiking with friends, and listening to music. In the future, Ricardo plans to pursue a master’s degree in health services administration to serve in children's hospitals to help build health initiatives for underserved communities.
Departing Staff
The Fraternity bids good luck and Godspeed to two outgoing staff members who recently completed their time as consultants.
Ryan Ewing (Drury)
Ryan joined the General Fraternity staff in June 2020 after graduating from Drury University with a degree in ACS biochemistry and a minor in physics. After two years as a Leadership Consultant for the Midwest Region, Ryan moved to the Expansion department, where he served as an Expansion Consultant and project manager for expansions at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, and the University of Delaware in Newark, Delaware.
Nick Lanier (Midwestern State)
Nick joined the General Fraternity staff in June 2021 after graduating from Midwestern State University with a degree in mass communication and a minor in digital media. During Nick’s two years on staff, he served as a Leadership Consultant for the Fraternity, supporting chapters in the Northeast during year one and in the Heartland region (the Southwest plus states in the Central United States) in year two.
James Ehrmann (Iowa)
On June 30, after a collective six years of service to the Legion of Honor, the Fraternity also bid good luck and Godspeed to outgoing Director of Fraternal Operations James Ehrmann (Iowa).
During his tenure on the staff team, Brother Ehrmann traveled as a Leadership Consultant, assisted with the development of new officer resources and programs as the Associate Director of Leadership Development, and oversaw the Fraternity’s expansion and recruitment, and risk reduction initiatives as the Director of Fraternal Operations.
Ryan, Nick, and James’ work has directly impacted thousands of collegiate and alumni brothers, and their exemplary commitment to the principles of the Legion of Honor has modeled the way for both members of the staff team and the chapters they have worked with.
