Sigma Nu Secondhand has become the hallmark philanthropy event for the Gamma Alpha Chapter at Georgia Tech. In March of 2023, Brother Sam Beagle organized the first opening — a vibrant open-air market held in front of the chapter house featuring local vendors selling vintage clothing and goods. To participate, vendors pay a fee that is directly donated to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). They bring their curated collections, engage with students, and help raise awareness for the cause. This year’s market was held in a much more public location, Tech Green, on the first Friday of classes – August 23, 2024 - and the crowd for this event was larger than ever before. Students are particularly interested in searching for 90s Braves tees, 1996 Olympics merch, and, of course, anything Georgia Tech.
