Stephen E. Ratterman, Sr.
Regent-Elect (Ex-Officio)
Stephen E. “Steve” Ratterman, Sr. (Indiana), serves as Regent-Elect of Sigma Nu Fraternity. He has served the Fraternity in various volunteer and staff roles for over 35 years. Steve has served the Fraternity on the national level as a Division Commander, Grand Marshal, Vice-Regent, Grand Treasurer, a member of the Beta Eta House Corporation and Alumni Advisory Board, a member of the Nu Epsilon Alumni Advisory Board, and as a member of the General Fraternity staff. As an undergraduate, Steve served Beta Eta as Recruitment Chair, Chaplain, and member of the Executive Committee.
Professionally, Steve is the Founding Partner and Chief Executive Officer of CSL Management, the largest company in the country specializing in the operations and management of fraternity and sorority housing. CSL operates on approximately 150 campuses providing services and has completed more than $200,000,000 in capital expenditure projects for fraternity and sorority housing in the last ten years. Steve also serves as the Chief Executive Officer of FRMT, Ltd., a member-owned specialty insurance company serving the fraternity community.
Steve lives in Cleveland, Tenn., and has served his local community on numerous not-for-profit organization boards, and in elected office at the local level. He is also a Deacon in the Roman Catholic Church in the Diocese of Knoxville, Tenn.
Steve and his wife Lucy (an Alpha Omicron Pi) have three children – Christina (a Zeta Tau Alpha), Laura (a Kappa Delta), and Stephen (Mississippi) – and six grandchildren.
