Robert J. Lalanne

Robert J. (Bob) Lalanne, Beta Psi (California/Berkeley), serves as Chairman of the Sigma Nu Educational Foundation. He has continued to provide leadership to his chapter since his graduation. As a collegian, he served as the Commander of his chapter and was selected for a special all-Sigma Nu summer leadership program which included an internship with the late Senator Lloyd Bentsen who was a Sigma Nu from the Upsilon Chapter at the University of Texas.
Professionally, Bob serves as President of The Lalanne Group, a real estate development company that has developed infill, residential and retail mixed-use projects in the San Francisco Bay area. He volunteered his professional expertise to serve as the first-ever Vice Chancellor-Real Estate for his alma mater from 2014 to 2016. In this role, he created a real estate development and asset management department focusing on efficiencies in operations and new revenue-generating projects maximizing UC Berkeley’s assets to create new revenue to support the public mission of the University. Bob has also served on numerous non-profit boards in the Bay Area.
He and his wife Millicent have two daughters, Jacqueline and Michaela.
