Strengths Workshops
Led by Zeta Tau Alpha and Sigma Nu, interfraternal organizations are taking a stand against sexual assault and relational aggression by developing and utilizing two new educational programs for college students - Social Strengths and Bystander Strengths. Recognizing that everyone plays a role in preventing sexual assault and creating a safer social culture, over ten fraternities and sororities have used this programming with almost 1,400 fraternity and sorority chapters and 120,000 undergraduate members.
“The national conversation surrounding campus safety is starting to shift from raising awareness to pursuing actionable prevention methods,” said Brad Beacham, Executive Director of Sigma Nu Fraternity. “These programs were created and implemented to empower our members to lead these prevention efforts on every campus where we operate."
The Social Strengths and Bystander Strengths workshops were developed in partnership with Aaron Boe, M.S.Ed., a specialist in non-stranger sexual assault, relational violence prevention, healthy relationships, and bystander intervention. Aaron is the principal of Culture Strength, where he develops and delivers bystander intervention and sexual assault prevention keynotes and curriculum.
