Program
Sigma Nu’s 71st Grand Chapter will officially begin on Wednesday, July 23, at the Grand Hyatt River Walk, with activities taking place through Saturday, July 26, 2025. Sunday, July 27 is reserved for travel. Grand Chapter events will include the Opening Ceremony, San Antonio area alumni reception, Sold...for Sigma Nu silent and live auction, the Maddox Honor Lecture, business sessions, presentation of Fraternity awards, and the Grand Chapter Reception and Banquet.

Meals/Events
All official meal functions and Grand Chapter activities will require a nametag for entry. Lunch will be provided on Thursday, July 24 and dinner will be provided on Saturday, July 26. These meals will be available to only paid registrants with nametags. All other meals will be your own and at your own expense.
Registration Deadline
Collegiate Chapter Voting Representative registration deadline is April 11, 2025. Registration deadline for all other Grand Chapter attendees is May 30, 2025.
NOTE: Registrations received after the noted deadline will be assessed a $75.00 late registration fee, per person. Any collegiate chapter voting representative registration that occurs after April 11 will also result in forfeiture of the guaranteed lodging reservation for the applicable collegiate chapter (see below for more information). If you are unable to register online, please contact our office for additional support.
Collegiate Registration
Each collegiate chapter has previously been billed a non-refundable Conclave Fee which allows for the registration of two voting representatives for the 71st Grand Chapter. This fee covers registration materials, Grand Chapter costs, two event meals, and one hotel room for four nights of lodging - Wednesday, July 23 through Sunday, July 27. Collegiate chapter representatives are responsible for their own expenses, including travel.
Collegiate members wishing to attend the Grand Chapter in addition to the two voting representatives of their chapter may register to attend the 71st Grand Chapter for a fee of $350. This discounted fee is only available for collegiate members. The fee covers registration materials, costs, and two event meals; it does not include lodging or travel expenses.
Up to a maximum of four collegiate members from the same chapter may stay in the hotel room provided for the chapter as part of the Conclave Fee.
Note, failure of a chapter to register its voting representative by April 11, 2025 will result in forfeiture of the guaranteed lodging reservation for the applicable collegiate chapter.

Alumni Registration
There are a number of registration packages for alumni members and their guests. Alumni registrants may choose from the below options:
Full Alumni Registration (Wednesday - Sunday; July 23 - July 27): This package includes admission to the Grand Chapter Opening Ceremony, all business sessions, San Antonio area alumni reception, Sold...for Sigma Nu silent and live auction, Honor Luncheon, Maddox Honor Lecture, and the Grand Chapter Reception and Banquet. Cost is $500 per person.
San Antonio Area Alumni Reception and Sold...for Sigma Nu: This package includes admission to the area alumni reception and silent and live auction to take place the evening of Thursday, July 24. Cost is $125 per person.
San Antonio Area Alumni Reception (only): This package includes admission to only the San Antonio Area Alumni Reception. There is no cost to attend the area alumni reception only.
Spouse/Guest Registration
San Antonio is a perfect setting for enjoying Grand Chapter with your family. We have plans for numerous family and guest activities to complement the standard Grand Chapter programming. Available spouse and guest packages are described below. Guests under the age of 18 may attend all functions free of charge but must be registered in advance. Members can register their guests using the Alumni Registration form linked above.
Full Guest Registration (Wednesday - Sunday; July 23 - July 27): This package includes admission to the Grand Chapter Opening Ceremony, all business sessions, San Antonio area alumni reception, Sold...for Sigma Nu silent and live auction, Honor Luncheon, Maddox Honor Lecture, and the Grand Chapter Reception and Banquet. Cost is $250 per guest 18 years old or older.
San Antonio Area Alumni Reception and Sold...for Sigma Nu: This package includes admission to the area alumni reception and silent and live auction to take place the evening of Thursday, July 24. Cost is $125 per guest 18 years old or older.
San Antonio Area Alumni Reception (only): This package includes admission to only the San Antonio Area Alumni Reception. There is no cost to attend the area alumni reception only.
Vendor Registration
Vendors are welcome to attend the Grand Chapter. If interested in attending, please contact Justin Wenger, Director of Member Engagement, at justin.wenger@sigmanu.org to learn more about vendor attendance options.
Late On-Site Registration
Late on-site registration (packet pickup) will be available from 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 24, prior to Business Session II. Late registration packet pick-up will also be available prior to other business sessions and events (e.g. San Antonio Area Alumni Reception, Sold...for Sigma Nu silent and live auction, Grand Chapter Reception and Banquet).
Representative Changes
While not encouraged, if a collegiate or alumni chapter’s representative changes for any reason after registering for Grand Chapter, please immediately notify our office to ensure our records remain accurate. For the fastest processing: 1) have the replacement representative register online and then, 2) submit a notification of the change electronically to gc.info@sigmanu.org. A confirmation reply will be sent once the change is processed.
Cancellations
The Conclave Fee billed to collegiate chapters is non-refundable; however, additional collegiate and alumni registrations may be canceled with a full or partial refund on a case-by-case basis.
All cancelations must be received in writing and should be submitted electronically to gc.info@sigmanu.org. A confirmation reply will be sent once the cancelation is processed.
Accommodations

All activities of the 71st Grand Chapter will take place at the Grand Hyatt River Walk at 600 E Market St, San Antonio, Texas. Located in the heart of downtown San Antonio, the Grand Hyatt River Walk will provide the perfect setting for Grand Chapter.
Per resolution of the 63rd Grand Chapter, the cost of lodging for one room per collegiate chapter has been incorporated into the Conclave Fee paid by collegiate chapters. This means that collegiate voting representatives, and up to 2 additional attendees per chapter (for a total of no more than 4) may have their lodging expense covered for check-in on Wednesday, July 23 through check-out on Sunday, July 27.
All lodging assignments for registered attendees will be made by the General Fraternity. There is no need for any registered attendee to book their room directly with the hotel.
Travel
All voting Grand Chapter representative should plan to arrive at the hotel no later than 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23 to allow time to check-in and complete on-site Grand Chapter registration. Grand Chapter registration will open Wednesday afternoon and hotel check-in will begin at 4:00 p.m. The hotel will accommodate as many early arrivals as possible.
The Grand Hyatt River Walk is located at 600 E Market St, San Antonio, Texas 78205. Parking is available on-site to Grand Chapter attendees at the discounted rate of $45/day for self-parking and $57/day for valet parking.
Those who will be flying should plan to fly into the San Antonio International Airport (airport code: SAT) with an arrival time of no later than 3:00 p.m. All transportation from the airport to the hotel will be at the individual's expense. Uber and other ride-sharing services to the Grand Hyatt River Walk are available on-demand. A one-way fare is approximately $25 plus gratuity.
Each collegiate chapter attending the 71st Grand Chapter will receive a travel reimbursement in the amount of $.15/mile one way credited to their chapter account with the General Fraternity. Mileage will be calculated based on the distance from the chapter's host campus to the Grand Hyatt River Walk.
Legislation
Grand Chapter legislative proposals should be received at the Sigma Nu Fraternity Headquarters office, in writing, and in proper form to allow for advance review by the appropriate Grand Chapter committee.

Nominations
Nominations for elected High Council positions should be received in writing at the Sigma Nu Fraternity Headquarters office. Any questions regarding the nominating process should be directed to Brad Beacham, Executive Director, at gc.info@sigmanu.org or (540) 463-1869.
Awards
Applications for Sigma Nu's awards programs are due by April 30. For more information and to download the awards application visit collegiate awards and alumni awards.
Attire
All Grand Chapter participants must be properly attired to attend Grand Chapter activities. Proper attire consists of dress pants (khakis or slacks), a collared shirt, and closed-toe shoes. Shorts, t-shirts, hats, sandals, and flip-flops may not be worn to business sessions or meal functions. Any participant not honoring the dress code may be referred to the Appeals and Grievances Committee for further response.
Attire for the Grand Chapter Banquet is coat and tie or suit and tie.
