Regent Charlie Eitel (Oklahoma State) will be inducted into the Oklahoma State University Fraternity and Sorority Hall of Fame tonight during a ceremony at the Stillwater Golf and Country Club hosted by the Centennial Vision Committee.

Brother Eitel is the current national president of Sigma Nu Fraternity. He was inducted into Sigma Nu’s Hall of Fame in 2008.

The OSU Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be followed by the annual Greek Awards Dessert Reception in Student Union Ballroom where individual and chapter awards will be presented to OSU fraternities and sororities.

The Fraternity and Sorority Hall of Fame was created by the Centennial Vision Committee to celebrate 100 years of Greek life at Oklahoma State (2009).

The inaugural class was selected and honored at the Greek awards reception in 2010. Among those inducted were Dean Darrel K. Troxel and Dean Zelma Patchin, both selected for their role in building a foundation for one of the strongest fraternity and sorority communities in the country. Other honorees have included Oklahoma State alumni who achieved national leadership positions in their fraternity or sorority.

The men and women who will be inducted tonight have made outstanding contributions to their Greek letter organization, to Oklahoma State University, to their chosen professions, and to the betterment of mankind, according to event organizers.

Attendance for tonight’s reception is expected to reach 400. Notable Sigma Nu alumni in attendance will include current Oklahoma State President Burns Hargis and Sigma Nu Fraternity Regent-Elect Joe Francis.

Headquartered in Lexington, Va., Sigma Nu Fraternity was founded in 1869 at Virginia Military Institute in Lexington and currently has 172 active chapters and colonies on college campuses throughout North America.
